MD046 - LA Art Show with William Shatner

Last week we hit up the LA Art Show in Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar, to see what exactly this whole art scene thing was about. In our mission to find out how to start building an art collection, we happened upon a certain someone browsing the contemporary section: William Shatner, aka Captain Kirk.

Digg!

Absolutely awesome piece of vlogging Veronica!
I laughed out loud at the office :D

  2. Ken Says:

“Shat”… BLEW IT as far as I am concerned! :-)

  3. Timo Weirich Says:

Hehe, seems like you’re not yet famous enough to deserve Captain Kirk’s attention. ;-) Just kidding, shame on him for not giving you an interview.

  4. Alberto Lung Says:

The best episode ever! really it was so fun!

    Rock on V

  5. dillweed Says:

lolz. do more shows that make you giddy.

    thanks for the Shat shots.

  6. steve Says:

Too bad nobody had an lp of his on them…i ‘think’ thats considered art, right?? hmmm

Thatcher?! …classic. Great episode. “Do you mind me asking you a few questions?” “I do actually”. Good stuff.

  7. ChrisM70 Says:

Too bad Shatner wouldn’t talk with you, but I”m sure he likes to have some days where he doesn’t have to answer questions or be “on”.

Besides Shatner, it would have been nice to see more of the art, or hear from the artists…

Enjoy watching the show each day - keep it up!

P.S. Maybe I’m alone on this, but I find the auto-play on the show a little irritating. It would be nice if the viewer could start the video when they are ready to watch.

  8. Jeremy L. Says:

Wow, the Shatner stuff is hilarious! The geek world should make a big deal of this (respectfully, of course)–just enough that Mr. Shatner will figure out that he should have talked to you guys. :D We can do that . . . right?

  9. Adam Teece Says:

I can understand him not wanting to be bugged on his day of art browsing, but he could have been nicer about it. I hope you do get to interview him at some point though. Good job Veronica and Team.

  10. Steve Cianfichi Says:

I have always been a great fan of William Shatner but now I see he is no longer hip to the ways of the world. To turn down talking to the great Veronica Belmont just proves he has fallen off the earth and has been living on another planet. One must make choices in life. I choose Veronica and Mahalo Daily.

The blond chick that was feeling up Bill was Julie Bowen (Sarah from Lost!!!)
(…or Denise for the Boston Legal fans…)

    Great episode!

  13. Adam Says:

    Great episode as usual Veronica

  14. KenMo Says:

I am disappointed. I put in a comment yesterday that seemed to be very appropriate, yet it does not appear.
Hmmm. You may make me stop coming here.

  15. Rey Says:

Will is just bitter because they didn’t put him in the new Star Trek movie. Feh! I would have tripped over myself to get you to interview me. He better recognize! LOL

  16. Jason Says:

That was great! Shatner really is a jerk like all his co-workers have claimed.

You go to huge public event with thousands of folks and you don’t give a little love to the fans!?!?

  17. Uilleam Says:

Yeah, that was totally Julie Bowen strokin’ the Shat. Ah, I love Julie. Oh well. Don’t despair Veronica, he was just wanting to shop in peace. Though being called ‘Thatcher’ was definitely a blow to his ego, that’ll teach him. LOL. Don’t worry though, in another year, when the Shat is going through one of his irrelevent stages, he’ll be calling the Queen of the Internet for some luv. Peace.
