MD054 - Grammy Awards 2008 (in 60 seconds)

The Grammy Awards 2008 were over four hours long, and as much as you may like music, that’s a long time to spend listening! Fortunately, we’ve cut the whole show down to one minute, making sure to leave all the best bits in, and the overly long thankyous out.

I saw Ringo Starr… I’m good for the week! I am so addicted to Mahalo Daily that I’m grouchy for half the day if I miss it.

I did watch the Grammys. You hit the highlights pretty good, even wrapping up with what I noticed last night while watching them: a whole lot of artists like to test their vocal range (translation: scream) in songs these days. Thank you for only the briefest glimpses of the arrogant Kanye West, and none of the unbalanced staggering portions of Amy Winehouse. You guys know how to pick just the right moments for these 60 seconds. Great work.

  8. Etienne Says:

That was awesome! Probably the best grammy show I’ve seen. Thanks!

You cut out the best part of Kanye’s performance: when Daft Punk showed up in that awkward pyramid in the back!
    Fucking Epic!

I was waiting for the mid-sustain singer montage, and it delivered (had me worried though until the post-credit bonus!)

Great success. :D Good job guys! Can you do the BRITs next? ;)

    Veronica,

While I like in depth coverage a lot, this series of 60 second compilations you’re doing is pure genius. Congratulations to you, Tyler and the whole MD team (oh yeah, the Craft Services guy too!)

    Please keep ‘em coming.
