When I went there a few months ago, I had a blast playing pinball machines from my childhood (and even some from my Dad's childhood, too). The place had a fun and friendly vibe. They served snacks and had a mountain of hilarious reading material in the bathroom. If you live in the SF Bay Area, this place is definitely worth the trip to Alameda. Whenever we see one in a fish and chip shop near the beach (yeah I'm aussie) my dad tells of how he and his mates would play it all the time, in the 60s and 70s I guess. It's kinda nostalgic for him, and he gets so enthusiastic with shooting the ball as hard as possible. it's quite hilarious really! So it's a nice father and son (and with sister sometimes) thing, while we wait for the chips to cook. I love pinball machines!
