To learn about the history of the pinball machine, we visited Lucky Ju Ju Pinball in Alameda, California and spoke to the founder of the pinball museum, Michael Shiess. We also spoke to Greg Malenic, the maker of a documentary called “Tilt“, on the subject of the pinball machine market.

I love pinball machines! Whenever we see one in a fish and chip shop near the beach (yeah I’m aussie) my dad tells of how he and his mates would play it all the time, in the 60s and 70s I guess. It’s kinda nostalgic for him, and he gets so enthusiastic with shooting the ball as hard as possible. it’s quite hilarious really! So it’s a nice father and son (and with sister sometimes) thing, while we wait for the chips to cook.

Thanks for doing a story on Lucky Ju Ju! When I went there a few months ago,
I had a blast playing pinball machines from my childhood (and even some from
my Dad’s childhood, too). The place had a fun and friendly vibe. They served
snacks and had a mountain of hilarious reading material in the bathroom.
If you live in the SF Bay Area, this place is definitely worth the trip to Alameda.

Here’s an idea, why not combine pinball machines and slot machines? Why not create a slot machine that is fun, and you can earn more money for the better you do.

Hi guys from Mahalo Daily !!
Just a tech question, I don´t know why since you guys made a few changes in the website, I’m not able to see the video each day in the website, I have to download it from the “Episode Download” option. I can only see the episode title but there’s no video, only the small video icon from the previous episode.
Somebody knows what’s going on ???
