Awesome Kristina! Perfect topic for you. :)
May 19th, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Holy cow Allison, by far the best one I’ve seen so far! Very interesting topic and you’ve definately asked him the right questions. Right on!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
Oh, and it’d be nice if I got your name right. Hahahaha, 2 first names. That just means that I’m blown away by your performance.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
Seemed a little bit nervous, but not bad. Has a vibe similar to Veronica. 2nd place to Leah, I think, but would definitely like to see another video.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:15 am
@ Sarah - thanks! You’re awesome =) @ imacynic - no worries about the name mixup ha ha it’s not uncommon. Hope everyone enjoys the vid =)
May 20th, 2008 at 12:18 am
I’ve been on the edge of my seat waiting to see Kristina’s episode, and I’m definitely impressed! I think she’s the most “girl next door” of all the contestants I’ve seen (both on and off camera), and the most likely to pick topics I’d be interested to hear about. It’s an adrenaline rush to get in front of so many people and do something you’ve never done before, and Kristina displays natural aptitude without making me feel like I’m watching primetime TV.
KRISTINA’S GOT MY VOTE!!
May 20th, 2008 at 12:32 am
Ummm.. what Lisa said! =) There’s been something about Kristina since I first saw her… and this episode definitely didn’t disappoint! She’s got my vote all the way!
Can’t wait to see what happens next! Woot!
May 20th, 2008 at 12:40 am
I thought this episode was pretty good. I liked the topic and think it was a great match for you. That said, you seemed really nervous on the intro and it ended up feeling rushed. I think the nervousness will go away with practice and timing comes with experience. Overall, I think you did a great job and wish you luck.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:44 am
Substance with Style… a winning combo. My $.02
May 20th, 2008 at 12:48 am
I was really anxious to see Kristina work, maybe cause of her different look (which, in particular, pleases me much, heh).
Great topic, she was very natural during the interview, great questions, nice interviewee. The episode went really smoothly.
She seemed a bit breathless in the intro, though.
Still, she took the first place.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:48 am
Agree 100% with Lisa. She is the dark horse, the black sheep, the diamond in the ruff. Very low key, and excited to learn new things, which makes me excited to learn with her. I wouldn’t be disappointed to see her win at all.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:51 am
I absolutely loved this episode. Great interview without taking away from your
guest. Very informative. I am personally wowed (if that is a word). Guys I think she
is your GIRL!!!!!
On a side note (funny story about the rappers with guns at each other).
Great Job Kristina!
May 20th, 2008 at 1:05 am
Kristina no need for us to see anything else from you because you have absolutely done it in our opinion. Great subject! Very interesting and entertaining without stepping on
your guest. That guy Dave Pensado is very interesting and had some funny stories.
Become an intern so you can be a toilet cleaner ha!ha!
Go Dark Horse! You Totally Have It For The Win!
May 20th, 2008 at 1:11 am
Yep
May 20th, 2008 at 1:13 am
Kristina is by far superior then any other of the contestants. Not to mention her shear beauty alone could win her the spot. The fact that she has exuberance, charisma, and just explodes with undertones of awesomeness are all just icing on the cake. You would all be fools not to pick her, if you don’t she is just going to get famous somewhere else. So stop delaying the inevitable and give credit where credit is DUE!!!!!!

May 20th, 2008 at 1:19 am
Very professional decorum throughout the interview. Kristina did a great job addressing the topics and transitioning between them. A+ for this student!
May 20th, 2008 at 1:47 am
Kristina had a very interesting interview!!!! I really feel I got something out of her interviewing skills with her subject. I had no idea what really goes on behind the scenes with the music making part of the Stars. That guy Dave must be really great at what he does, to work with such great artists. That equipment must be really expensive. Mucho Dinero!!!
Oh and by the way Kristina, thanks for letting us know your location.
Loved All of It. Period.
Kristina Gets My Vote!!!
All the way to the Top Floor!!!
Executive Level Please!
THANK YOU!!!!!!
May 20th, 2008 at 1:55 am
Kristina is the best of the bunch. Hot, smart and natural
May 20th, 2008 at 2:05 am
WOW- What a great interview Kristina is by far the next mahlo daily host. Informative professional and definitely kept me interested in what was being said. You’d be foolish not to select her. I cant wait until i see what up and coming.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:07 am
Mucho! Mucho! Bueno! Novela! DEL Vlog Idol!!!!
Kristina haces coces muy bien aqui en Mahalo.
Tu necessita Kristina para Mahalo tu sabes!!!! Si!!!! Como No!!!
Kristina para Mahalo nada mas!!!!
Que Bueno! Muy Bonita! Muy Inteligente!!!!
May 20th, 2008 at 2:14 am
She is very likable and talented. Once she gets used to interview, she is going to really shine as a host, IMHO. I hope she wins!
May 20th, 2008 at 2:19 am
Kristina - Very good, but decaf! You seemed pretty hyper during the intro, a little breathless and rushed. The topic was great, the whole thing was based well, and the ‘pop-ups’ and image clips inserted fit the story well.
Until now Michelle had been my favorite candidate - but now I’m not so sure. I’ve watched this episode a couple of times (on my 61″ DLP thanks to TiVo) and, except for the intro, it doesn’t feel like a tryout at all. I think I’d have to give it to Kristina at this point out of the five, with Michelle now my second choice.
Very good work. Just calm down a breathe a bit more. :-)
May 20th, 2008 at 2:20 am
based well? Ugh, PACED well. (I think that’s my cue to eat something, since it has been nearly 24 hours and I think my brain is low on fuel…)
May 20th, 2008 at 2:24 am
@ megazone - Thanks for the tips ha ha. Yeah I was definitely a bit excited -LOL - decaf it is 8-)
May 20th, 2008 at 2:29 am
Top notch. Love her personality, love her enthusiasm, love her style. Good topic choice too. Great job, she gets my #1 vote.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:36 am
Another point for Kristina - jumping in here and having a back and forth with the audience (we of the unwashed masses). That’s just the kind of thing we like to see from the host of Mahalo Daily, it makes them more approachable and easier to relate to.
I hope we see more of you, Kristina.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:37 am
I’m sorry, but Kristina’s interviewing skills just aren’t on par with anybody we have seen so far. She seems nice and honest enough, but I have no confidence in her as a host. While it’s good that she didn’t talk over the guest, she also didn’t seem to fully control the interview (for example, the guy grabbing hold of her chair during the outro).
Her questions also did not seem very well prepared. It would have been nice if they had actually left the mixing booth and showed us the things they were talking about. So far So far it’s a toss up between Michelle and Leah for me. Sarah is professional enough, but hasn’t won me over with her episode. Kristina has a lot of spirit but isn’t a good fit for Mahalo.
May 20th, 2008 at 3:34 am
Good interview, very “Girl Next Door” as others have said. Not the most polished in terms of Interviewing skills. Certainly a good candidate but I still think Leah gets my vote.
May 20th, 2008 at 3:43 am
Dave Pensado… your name means to think in spanish, so here are my thoughts.
This interview seemed very difficult mainly because the subject didn’t have a lot of personality. Dave, you taught me nothing about mixing or your work, you joked about how you get paid a lot to do nothing and then it really seemed that way! Christina did a great job working through this though, putting up other content for me to look at to keep me interested. (Much better than doing the talking for him). I actually enjoyed watching this despite my after-thought of wow that guy was boring to listen to.
I was really looking forward to seeing them mix together vocal/guitar tracks from Christina’s band. Isn’t the traditional mahalo video one where we learn via watching the girl learn? I truthfully only learned from the pop-up text containing the good research that Christina did. This sort of thing goes a long way and shows she’s not just a pretty face. I think with a more engaging subject she would rock out.

leave us a video comment
May 20th, 2008 at 4:14 am
Ok that was interesting !
You can feel a real interest for the subject which is great, but the subject was treated a bit in a boring way. I especially felt a lack of energy in that interview that made it a bit boring in the end.
However the interviewing skills seem to be there, so with a little work on the energy this would be a good candidate.
Certainly my second choice after Leah who did show much more energy and a subject I didn’t know anything about.
May 20th, 2008 at 4:22 am
Nice job Kristina. It wasn’t perfect. There was the breathless intro and the flub with the first question, but after that you seemed to get more into it. Dave Pensado could have been a more forthcoming host. Much like with Sarah’s interviewee, this brought the energy level down. Thankfully this was made up for with many well placed cuts to the various objects Dave was talking about, as well as the useful lower thirds. As for the outro, personally I liked it. It reminded me of some of the things Veronica used to do at the end of her MD episodes.
Overall I’d say this was a solid effort. I think Leah has been the most professional, but I’d easily place Kristina in as one of the top 3. I could definitely see her hosting Mahalo Daily.
May 20th, 2008 at 4:26 am
Somebody can tell me how to vote for my favorite candidate on mahalo vlog idol?
May 20th, 2008 at 4:51 am
Boring, all the entries have been too long, too dull, too boring.
May 20th, 2008 at 5:06 am
I think this contest/idol thing has been going on way too long… I’ll come back when. it’s over… but it won’t be the same without Veronica…
May 20th, 2008 at 5:29 am
Perfect topic for Kristina’s first effort. Nice production, comfortable, like old friends. Now we really need to see her outside of her comfort zone. I haven’t seen enough of her to convince me that she could handle the demands of the Host position.
May 20th, 2008 at 5:44 am
Not bad but why didn’t she actually *try* mixing something to get the right feel for it?
All I ended up seeing was a bunch of pictures of artists he’s worked with. The captions ended up having just as much interesting information.
May 20th, 2008 at 6:34 am
One of the best ones so far… didn’t really care for the ending but that can definitely be fixed another episode. A+ for you.
May 20th, 2008 at 7:15 am
Cool episode. Nice to see someone in my profession. And my buddy and collegue Dave is one of the best.
Within the time limits given, the topic was well presented. Like one other viewer said, it would have been nice to go into the mixing process a bit, but that might be interesting topic for follow-up series.
I was expecting Veronica to do this, since she is an actual recording engineer, but wait… right, she is no longer there *blush*
My fave topic so far.
My fave presenter so far.
Cheers fro Beglium
Arthur
May 20th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Not bad, i’m now torn between Leah and Kristina. Leah has awesome energy, this was a bit laid back but didn’t call for mega high energy. But content and interview was awesome. Again a little mic issues as she was hard to hear sometimes compared to her guest.
May 20th, 2008 at 8:32 am
There was nothing in here that went wrong that wouldn’t be fixed with some more mic time / experience. Honestly, she did a really good job and it was a really good choice of topics. The interviewing skills weren’t “great” but they were definitely good enough and will only get better in time.
Solid second behind Leah. No doubt about it.
Well done!
May 20th, 2008 at 9:04 am
One of the best so far. You asked good questions and had someone interesting to talk to.
May 20th, 2008 at 9:04 am
This underdog is clearly proving she really can work hard and rise to the challenge. I like her approach and what a great topic - it was fun but not too quirky but also interesting enough that I learned something new. IMHO Kristina is perfect for the Mahalo audience and she is surely a great candidate continue Veronica’s legacy whilst still being able to mesh with Lon et. al and bring something new into the mix.
May 20th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Kristina, great job!! For me, this was definitely the best so far. The topic was fantastic, I loved the questions, and it was very interesting to watch.
Mahalo… this is your girl!!! She’s got my vote!!
May 20th, 2008 at 9:28 am
Well, none of the other entries have compelled me to do this but since commenting seems to be the only way to “vote” here goes..
It’s hard for me to put my finger on why I think you should get the position. The energy level that everyone else mentions was a weak point, but I think we’ve seen you can have high energy. I think you could definitely grow into the role and there’s just something about that just feels right and natural hosting the show.
So, good job! Good luck! And, hope to see you on the going forth!
May 20th, 2008 at 9:45 am
Great content, Kristina–very interesting!
May 20th, 2008 at 9:54 am
She did a good job… I would put her into 2nd place… I think Leah D’Emilio is still the best.
The topic was interesting, she let the interviewer do the talking (which is hard for many people). Her intro was alittle all-over-the-place… but not bad. The out-tro she did a good job with since the guy spun her chair on her.
Not a fan of the colored-hair… hard to take her too seriously.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:18 am
great job!!!
May 20th, 2008 at 10:27 am
Kristina is awesome. Mixer guy was a bit boring by himself, but she made it a fun and entertaining interview.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:33 am
Very good! I loved it. I think the guy she interviewed was a little dull, but she did great. She has my vote! I think the reason I like her is because she reminds me of Veronica.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:45 am
I had to go back and watch the intro again to figure out what she said. She seemed nervous and a bit rushed. Her opening line with her guest was like she just threw it together rather then a thought out practiced intro. She has nice hands, but not sure they should be used to talk with. Her head nodding wasn’t as bad as others, but still noticeable. All in all a good interview, and I went back and watched it several times liking it more and more each time which could be due to enjoying Dave Pensado talk. I think she has potential, a diamond in the ruff so to speak, but then again this is a competition. I would like to see her do another interview, and I think she should be one of the finalists.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:50 am
This one was pretty good, but I’d still give it a 2nd next to Leah. Leah was awesome!
May 20th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Kristina seemed very uncomfortable and nervous in the interview. She also has a bad habit of continually nodding her head when the other person is talking. A second attempt might get her over the nerves, but Leah and Sarah are the two I would like to return for a second round. At the moment I might give Kristina the third nod, but the first two choices were easy.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:49 am
This is another person who should have been eliminated right off the bat. There was nothing here I was even the slightest bit interested in listening to with this interviewer. The questions were lame the setting was lame, but the topic would normally have interested me with a better interviewer. Kristina was trying to make us feel like this is something that she’s interested in too, but was so nervous about and what she’s doing. Please go back and learn how to be interesting and/or interview people. Ask the Lon Harris how to make an interesting show or maybe call Veronica. Maybe he should just take over the show and get rid of these flat boring woman and move on to someone more interesting. I’m not just picking here because some of the stuff Veronica did was not all that great, but she always tried to make it her best or at least tried to make it fun.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:57 am
Totally awesome! So many talents, so little time. They better snatch you up before someone else does. Keep putting it out there.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
i think i just accidentally threw away my comment, so here goes again.
i was delightfully surprised. this seemed closest to veronica-style pieces in terms of questions, visual editing, and pace. she did seem nervous at times, but i attribute that to lack of experience. considering she has none, this was a fabulous achievement. a couple more and she’ll just shine.
there’s something very intriguing, almost mysterious, about kristina that’s very appealing. plus, she has awesome posture, which made me sit up straighter while i watched. :-)
May 20th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
@ everyone! Thanks for all the support and I’m glad that most of you are enjoying it =)
If you want to catch me on twitter, I’m at twitter.com/paperkristina
Thanks again for the feedback!
Kristina 8-)
May 20th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Good job. I believe the dark horse candidate needs to go to the final round. There is just something about her that is intriguing.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
I love that bit at the end, it’s magical.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
Haven’t seen this one pop up in iTunes yet. Skipped through Atwood’s…boring! Right now I’m torn between Michelle and Leah…I like them both equally, and have for the entire competition. I’d be down with either (or both!) of them winning!
May 20th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Nice episode! I enjoyed this as much as Leah’s episode. Nice, light, and fun. I think it is between Leah and Kristina at this point.
May 20th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
OK…just watched this episode, and going into it I kinda liked her. Afterward, and considering how far along the competition is, I’m writing her off. I still vote for Leah or Michelle. Kristina lacks polish and the questions were awkward, the whole interaction was, really.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
fun, interesting, and cute
May 20th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Best show so far. Probably in part because I liked the topic more than the others. Regardless, Kristina gets my vote.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
While I liked the topic, I thought that her interview was a bit awkward. The opening felt strange and rushed, and the mic work should have been better since she is the only one with the mic at that point. No vote from me here.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
enjoyed her episode.
would have like to have seen more demo on the equipment.
outro was weak
May 20th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Loved it! I have to admit I was hesitant at first about Kristina, but she’s totally awesome! This is definitely my favourite of the videos so far, with Leah’s a very close second!
May 20th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Nice job, Kristina. You clearly don’t have the experience of the other candidates, but you are working hard, and it shows. You have some skills to learn, but I think you know that.
For a decision, I’m torn between Leah and Kristina. Leah has the skills right off the bat, but Kristina doesn’t feel so “journalisty”. Definitely want to see another round with both of them.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Niceeee job Kristina You have my vote.
May 20th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Great topic. Interesting to watch. Kristina is a bit stiff and maybe a bit nervous but she has that quality like Sarah has. She has a quality that is endearing. I really like her and I like her look.
So far my pecking order is:
1) Leah
2) Sarah
3) Kristina
4) Nadine
5) Michelle
Only one left, Andrea. As I said before I expect big things from her.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Great job Kristina! I’m still voting for Leah but you are a VERY close second. Just need to get those interview skills up and you would be my number 1 pick. Leah just has you beat in that area and that’s about it.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Granted, there were some nerves showing in this video, but Kristina has been my favorite contestant all along and she maintains that position. Way to go Kristina! You most definitely have my vote!
May 20th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
:O I loved it! good energy, fun, I was entertained.
Kristina gets my vote
May 20th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Great vid, got my vote!
May 20th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
You’ve been my favorite from the start, and I liked this one aswell. You’ve got my vote!
May 20th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Definitely Kristina! Though she’s no Veronica Belmont, the viewer can tell that there’s a lot interesting there that she is not yet able to convey fully. Among the candidates, she’s the only one who would keep me watching.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Definitely Kristina! There’s a lot there that she is not able to fully express yet. Give her time.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
I’m mixed on Kristina.
I wasn’t particularly impressed with this episode, and yet I still enjoyed it. I think that the topic was great, it was very informative, and she had good questions. I was having issues with the audio, but I guess I had the YouTube audio too high? It was clipping for some reason.
Anyway, very professional interviewing style and very Veronica-y. Not my favorite because I prefer high energy, but that can be a plus because sometimes too much energy == too bubbly.
I’m not sure how to rank her, but I think she ranks slightly above the last couple. I still like Leah the best overall.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Flew in to see what all the comotion is about……. pretty good mix…listening!
May 20th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
@ everyone — I’m so glad I that decided to audition for the Mahalo gig. If nothing else comes out of this, your feed back is priceless. I’m always looking to grow and am good at taking constructive criticism… so, thanks for that =)
again, if any of you are interested, I’m on twitter.com/paperkristina.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday!!
May 20th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
My badd. meant that I.. not I that… ha ha .. mez has fat fingers.. whee!
May 20th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
I thought this was definitely one of the most interesting topics so far, and I thought Kristina did a fairly good job throughout. At the beginning of the episode it seemed like she was talking pretty quickly and perhaps a bit uncomfortable or nervous. The actual interview itself went fairly smoothly though I thought and I was definitely paying attention to the very end, whereas I cannot say that for all the episodes. All the contestants so far with the exception of maybe one have been extremely well qualified for the job and have produced some excellent work. Whoever is chosen as the next host will no doubtedly help Mahalo Daily transform into a must see show everyday.
May 20th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
I found her fun to watch, very natural but still entertaining!! she gets my vote!!
May 20th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I think Kristina did a very good job. Better then the others. Gonna be hard to replace the goofy Veronica but you have a chance with this girl.
May 20th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
This was a very ineresting topic and Kristina did an excellent shop. Her appearence is totally different from what we know from Veronica, however i really like her. Give her the chance to get more comfortable and improve her ability to express herself a bit better.
Thumbs up for Kristina !
May 20th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Yeah, Kristina is the best, hands down. She’s natural, yet has her own thing going on. SHE BETTER WIN!
May 20th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Great job, Kristina!
You had a tough interviewee, but you still managed to keep it light, fun and entertaining. Your energy level is terrific for this, and I think you’ll do well in the competition. I’m hoping we get a better glimpse of your personality in future rounds, because it’s coming through great in your replies here in the comments, but didn’t have much of an opportunity to shine in the video.
Up there with Leah for my vote. Your advantage is your girl-next-door quality, and what you need to work on more is your comfort level in front of the camera.
May 20th, 2008 at 5:21 pm
@ Brian - Thanks =) If I make it to the next round, I want to do something a bit more interactive and exciting ya know??!! Woot!
May 20th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
it was awesome you did good, u look gorgeous, but u did look a tid bit wouldnt say nervous i dont know a lil uncomfortable cuz u were on camera, but all in all awesome job
May 20th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
This is somewhat a missed opportunity. I thought she made a great momentum by choosing a great topic not only Mahalo viewers would love to see but also she has a certain knowledge about since she’s in a band. But the actual result was kind of stiff and boring. I don’t think many people expected this to be talk-only kind of thing. It made the episode too one dimensional. As for interview itself, the mixing guy wasn’t much of an entertaining guy to talk to in the first place but that’s where the interviewer’s skill should comes in. But rather, it only revealed her lack of experiences.
But still I could see a natural talent in her and this is a very good effort for someone who had never done this stuff before. So I’d say cheers for that. She definitely has a potential.
May 20th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
Kristina was great. Good questions, good focus on the interviewee and seemed genuinely interested in the subject matter.
May 20th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
This is the best episode of the five. It’s more like what mahalo daily should be. But really needs more action. A live recording in the studio would be great, or let the guy does nothing show off some mixing magic!
May 20th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Very good. Would like to see her step out of the music theme and do something a little different since she is in a band. Good, but make her do some tech next time.
If she isn’t your host Jason Cal, then make sure you pay her to do something at Mahalo or you are going to be sad.
May 20th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
I think she was OK. Definitely much better in the interview than in the intro (but that was not difficult to do). I would probably say she would be my second or third pick. Leah seems the best so far.
May 20th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Great host!! Natural talent and by far the BEST choice!! She will get BETTER and BETTER!!!
May 20th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
I’d rather see Kristina Allison than any of the other contestants. While she has less experience and might be a bit rough at first, I think she’ll get there in no time. Root for the underdog!
May 20th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Well done! I’m really digging this girls vibe. She might not have the talent of the other girls but within just a few short weeks has really proven herself worthy of taking Veronica’s place.

Right up there along w/ Leah. Room to improve. So far it’s Kristina and Leah for finals.
May 20th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Wow, I think Leah D’Emilio is now tied with this girl.
Kristina in the beginning of the podcast looks just like Veronica Belmont
May 20th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
Good interviewing skills. Kept me very interested. Great subject that I had no idea
about. Funny stories. You are my first choice by far. You are a very interesting girl.
Loved the ending I thought that was very playful.
The Girl Next Door!
KRISTINA is the ONE!
May 20th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
This contest is entirely too long. I feel sorry for the girls. They come from far away and come to Hollywood to find a job. This is taking too much of their time.
Pick LEAH D”EMILIO and forget about it. She is winning hands down.
Thumbs up for LEAH.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:45 pm
I like her a lot.
The only thing is that she needs to learn to do something differently with her hands. She appeared nervous and at times seemed like a chit chat rather than an interview.
Leah and Michelle are still on top,
May 20th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
@ Jerry
If you are going to be blatant about it you should be polite and post on Leah’s page.
You must not have any skills in etiquette. How RUDE!!!!
The old saying goes don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.
And if the girls didn’t want to be involved this far in to it then they can walk away any time they want to. It is not an acting roll or audition for a major film you know. And this is not Hollywood. It is Mahalo.
And just a reminder again if you don’t like how it is going then don’t watch and then complain about it being too long. Jason will do what he wants, as he is the BOSS!!!!
May 20th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
I loved Kristina! Have watched this again and again. She has a great vibe and look.
Almost like Veronica!!!
Yeah and like cnjibaro said. Don’t be rude and post here on Kristina’s interview, go and comment on the other girls pages if you have something to say about them.
Must be nice to hide behind a computer and be brave and make such rude comments.
Go Kristina! The Dark Horse FTW!!!!! There can be only one and you are “IT”.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
Prior to watching this, based on the topic I felt that I was probably not going to enjoy it. However, kudos to Kristina, I found myself really engaged and this turned out to be one of my favorites. Dave seemed a bit reserved, but Kristina’s style let him come out and tell some interesting stories. Overall, great!
May 20th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
okay okay maybe kristina’s was a little shy but no one is perfect when they are in their beginnings rather they are never perfect. I feel like sometimes people become way to judgmental and need to remember that we all are human and all have room to grow, what really matters actually is if the person is willing to grow and in kristina’s case I think she is ready learn and do her best to bring all kinds of interesting and adventurous topics to all the viewers she possibly can. Goooo Kristina!! show em whatcha got!!
May 20th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
you said it!! I really think kristina has got the skills you go girl what what!!
May 21st, 2008 at 12:12 am
Definitely will stay subscribed if Kristina stays on!!!
May 21st, 2008 at 12:32 am
I’m sorry I really don’t know what everyone is raving about. I mean I enjoyed the topic, but Kristina didn’t really show any great interviewing or hosting skills. I would also have liked it if we saw some actual mixing. the intro was quick, and she looked a bit nervous, but that can be overcome. the outro however, she could have at least rolled with the punches when he started messing with her chair, or maybe just recorded a different outro without him there. it really showed that she was nervous or uncomfortably surprised when he messed with her chair. Cute and pleasant, but not in my top three.

This show was so boring…, In fact, if it wasn’t for Dave, there wouldn’t be any show at all in this episode.
Please come back Veronica !!!
May 21st, 2008 at 4:14 am
Kristina is very likeable…love her hair. She is in top 2 with andrea renea.
May 21st, 2008 at 6:07 am
Wah this was just weak. And the questions were boring.
May 21st, 2008 at 8:34 am
I would say this was the best one so far. Kristina has something about her that will attract people to watch every day.
May 21st, 2008 at 8:51 am
By far the most interesting of the ‘final six’ videos so far.
I’m a bit surprised at my reaction because Kristina wasn’t my favourite in terms of on-camera persona but it was a really interesting interview (and I’m queuing up some of this guy’s work now).
May 21st, 2008 at 9:48 am
I love the topic. Awesome questions! The best I’ve seen so far. Great work!
May 21st, 2008 at 10:35 am
really weak one!
May 21st, 2008 at 11:26 am
The commenting system lost my prior comment, so I’ll post it again.
I really was pulling for Kristina. I love the look. I like her band. I think she is very attractive. However the interview was bad. She seemed to revere the interviewee which was an interesting personal revelation. He must be skilled, but I think he was very creepy and uninformative. There was almost no information content in the episode. All I got was creepy guy works with pop stars and Kristina loves music. Kristina may be suffering from my high expectations (I really wanted her to win), she seemed nervous and wooden through the interview and unfortunately I can’t rank her high on the list.
My current rankings:
1) Leah
2) Sarah and Michelle
3) Kristina
4) Nadine
May 21st, 2008 at 3:08 pm
KA FTW! I have to say that Kristina’s is the best so far. It wasn’t as polished as Leah’s, but that gave it a certain charm in my humble opinion. I also loved the topic, and she asked all the questions that I was asking in my head as I watched. Very interesting and enjoyable. I’d love to see more!
May 21st, 2008 at 3:22 pm
No
May 21st, 2008 at 3:27 pm
She did a great job. Kept the interview going and flowing.
May 21st, 2008 at 3:43 pm
…. And, she’s got great posture!
May 21st, 2008 at 5:36 pm
Kristina’s the bomb. She got it going on, she is the next big hit. You better sign her now before the other sites see her sample. Your hit rates will jump with her. I think G4 was looking at her tape.
I said it here.

I love the music industry, but lost interest about half way through. Sorry
May 21st, 2008 at 6:15 pm
@ Tim I guess you just really want to see T and A. That is probably it IMHO. If you really want to know how music is made then you would have watched the whole thing.
The studio would never let Kristina touch their boards. Do you have any idea how much that stuff costs. Not to mention show some of the proprietary files of some of the artists. That would never happen in music or any other production like movies or T.V.
That would equal a very big Lawsuit with tons of lawyers getting their fat fingers in there and laughing all the way to the bank.
I’m sure if you use your own computer to google some of that info or even maybe Mahalo it, you could get some kind of idea of the amount of money that is involved for the studio or the equipment.
Get Real!!!!
May 21st, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Great Job. She is a natural
May 21st, 2008 at 7:22 pm
Definitely gets my vote. I just watched them all and this is the only one that I watched again. Something about Kristina… she did seem a little nervous, but this just made her cuter.
The interviewing skills will come around. The others may have been more polished, but they didn’t make me want to see what they did next. Kristina did. Good job !!
May 21st, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Kristina seems still a little too amateur-ish for my liking. She also doesn’t come across as a naturally smiley / friendly person, but rather like she’s forcing it for the camera. It makes me wonder how long she could keep that up for.
May 21st, 2008 at 8:28 pm
@ Joe
I guess she must not be much of an actress for you. Mahalo is not about acting and faking it. But maybe that is what you must be used to.
I don’t think she could be any more friendly for real and not fake like some ppl.
She has a lot more talent to show us here at Mahalo.
Great Job Kristina don’t listen to the ney sayers. They need to go back where they came from!!!!! The mole hole.
May 21st, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Kristina is really pulling her own weight on this one. I really like the interview. It’s fun, short, sweet, and to the point. Also very interesting. Her temper is pleasant, and she brings a mix that will keep you following her for a longtime. The fact that she went in there and showed us something different compared to what we have been seeing really proves to me that she doesn’t have any contenders. They have become obsolete, and the rest is history.
May 21st, 2008 at 9:47 pm
I thought this was a good choice of subject. Kristina wisely chose a subect that she is very familiar with. It appeared as though Kristina was interested in furthering her professional relationship with the interviewee rather than getting the most out of the interview. She showcased his accomplishments very well and it seemed as though Dave Pensado controlled the interview. The videos of Dave’s clients were obviously not done by Kristina.
May 21st, 2008 at 10:13 pm
She’s your winner. No doubt in my mind.
May 22nd, 2008 at 12:20 am
She wasn’t bad. I thought it was very interesting and she had good interaction with the guest.
May 22nd, 2008 at 3:06 am
I thought the interview was good. Very interesting topic. That said, she looked very nervous through out the entire interview. Obviously something that would get better over time but also something that stood out the entire video. She looked scared of that old man when he spun her around in the chair haha.
We shall see what happens. I’m anxious to get this over with so we can get on with more Mahalo Daily…
BACH-EE-LAWWWWWN!!!…. *CAPE SWOOSH*
May 22nd, 2008 at 3:45 am
The best- a great topic- a refreshing perspective on the stuff (music) that surounds us. Great for Mahalo giving the geeky- interesting inside view on the normal. Done elegantly good questions. On topic- with the Mahalo strap line for those interested in how to start. And got on well with the interviewee- seemed to like her in last shot. Yes definite
May 22nd, 2008 at 1:20 pm
A definite NO vote for me. Totally uncomfortable on camera, hesitant speech pattern, not the best questions. Great look, but not a vlog host.
May 22nd, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Go Kristina! ;)
May 23rd, 2008 at 1:28 am
Professional, talented, well educated. I really enjoyed this vid. I learned about the topic in a way that was entertaining and digestible. I like how we get a taste of Kristina but it’s not all about Kristina! What I am left with is the feeling that I want to return to Mahalo Daily to see what other interesting things I can learn about. I really like that about Kristina. I give her a lot of credit. She could have blabbed a lot. NICE JOB! More videos please… and thanks for this one!
May 23rd, 2008 at 3:14 am
Interesting show, but I didn’t get a feel that Kristina’s personality really came through; like it was overpowered by the topic and the industry. Is it because of her music interest? Would have rathered she did a show outside of this focus to show she had more range, or at least gave less of a “star struck” presentation, for lack of a more accurate phrase.
Delivery over all felt tense and not very smooth/confident. I do like her personality though, if she can get beyond the mike work and smooth out her presentation. Love the look.

After watching her interview and this produced piece, I really like Kristina. I like her attitude, her interviewing style, her demeanor on camera, and her inquisitiveness.
The most important part for me was that she took hold of my attention at the beginning and kept it throughout. I already know what goes on in a recording studio, but even so, I found the piece enjoyable to watch (good gunplay story!).
With a 20yr history as a broadcast producer/talent, I appreciate the way the whole thing was put together. The editing was tight (while getting tons of images and information in) and it had a clear purpose.
She seems to have a very nice combination of creative talent & geek cred, and looks to be someone who would have no problem taking direction. That last part is key… I see her as being the person in this race who would have the same level of enthusiasm going into an interview with a name entertainer or an interesting person who she has never heard of or knows nothing about.
Kristina gets my vote so far.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:05 am
It would have been nice to show us around instead of just talk, talk, talk… Not the worst episode, but as genuine as Kristina is she still needs work.
