While Andrea is pretty good, I am glad Leah was picked. Andrea seemed a bit tense in her first appearance as special correspondent.

Yikes! That was a big step down in quality from the past dozen episodes. She was basically reciting the copy. She was her own producer, yet ended up as mostly a talking head? I almost felt like I was watching a PBS documentary.
Definitely nothing like the humor and freshness of the Leah and Lon episodes.

A root canal would be less painful than that episode.
I think Mahalo would be better of and just let Andrea walk away and don’t bring her back.

I really enjoyed seeing Andrea Rene on Mahalo again. I did like her review/cheat episode for Guitar Hero Aerosmith, but I have to say, it seemed like she wasn’t really relaxed. Her style of speaking was very careful and guarded, almost as if the episode was rigorously rehearsed instead of naturally flowing. I hope to see more of her in the future. Hooray Mahalo!!!!

Well done! Keep up the good work! :)

Southern/valley girl news announcer meets hard rockers/video gamers…left me feeling empty. Doesn’t work for me, sorry.

I’m not a fan of guitars or heroes, but I am a fan of this.

There’s so much hatin’ on Andrea goin’ on. Why? I think she’s doing a great job.
In her defense, she fell really ill before filming this episode.

Great to see Andrea back in her first correspondent gig. I look forward to more in the future. I can’t say that the review had me itching for Guitar Hero Aerosmith, but then I couldn’t even get into the original Guitar Hero, so there you go.
Welcome back Andrea.

I could care less about guitar hero. But I would watch Andrea read sections of the federal tax code.
Leah - happy to watch you read federal court cases.
July 2nd, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Thank GOD they went with Leah.
Andrea’s voice and weird facial expressions are so annoying I can’t believe anyone would want her on camera unless it was a on mute.

@Lee J. Yi
…just have to say that expressing an opinion is NOT “hatin goin on.” Do remember some of us are attempting to live in a democracy. Others do not always agree with you. It is a Maholy goal to express our genuine comments without others playing “the judgment” card.
July 2nd, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Yikes! I’m so glad they picked Leah. Don’t care about Guitar Hero, can’t stand Andrea’s voice, and dry, badly executed episode. Sorry, its not hate just my opinion. More Hoopadelic please.
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:20 pm
@Cynthia: Saying people are hating is not an attempt to stifle your rights, its a point of fact. Get a grip.

Although I am not a skilled guitar hero player, I thought Andrea did a fantastic job on her first correspondent piece! I look forward to seeing more of her.

Wow you guys are mean! You guys should include the link to the shows you host when you post comments.

I gotta agree with Les Corwin, painful to watch…I really think Andrea needs to learn how to host Mahalo Daily, this was horrible, absolutely pitiful…sorry, but it’s the truth.

More Leah. Less Lon. Undecided on Andrea. Tho I’m happy Leah won.
July 3rd, 2008 at 7:51 am
It’s almost 8 a.m. on Thursday morning, no new program. Did Mahalo take an extra day for the 4th?
July 3rd, 2008 at 8:03 am
Andrea never was my favorite, that feeling hasn’t change yet. Her voice pitch is to high!!!! I agree with Franz, you should be thinking of a screensaver featuring Leah’s hooping!!!
She is so beauty that is almost unbelievable and Lon is really funny: last friday’s episode was really hillarious.
See you

I agree. Andrea did seem a little tense when reading the review - I could well believe she was ill.
I would have preferred a little more humour. However, overall it was still a good episode.
For me, Andrea clearly has the talent to be a great correspondent - I’m looking forward to seeing more of her episodes.

Why wasn’t there a new show today? Is it because tomorrow is a holiday? I thought Jason said this was a 5-day a week program. I also would like to know, for example, that on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday we see Lon, Leah or a combination of both and on Wednesday, you have a guest host ( or whatever combination you choose). I have enjoyed the content for MahaloDaily. I find it creative, fun and informative.
To sum up my 2-cents: I think the MahaloDaily needs to define who and what they are and deliver that consistently to their viewers.
Happy Fourth of July to all!

After reading my comment once more, I think it may have been a bit misunderstood. I preferred Andrea far more than Leah during the ‘finals’ and was a bit disappointed that the final choice was for Leah. As much as I preferred Andrea, I have to say that this episode simply wasn’t that… exciting. On the other hand, perhaps it’s just the transition into the new position, but Leah hasn’t really been ‘hosting’ much at all since the final decision was made. That to me is the saddest thing of the whole affair.

Agree with Julian. They spent that long amount of time finding a new host. Then she doesn’t host much at all…I really don’t understand. And all these guest hosts or too much Lon-ness is watering the whole thing down. I’d rather see Leah takes over and get a chance to firmly stand on her own.

Julian/motorchang:
Hang on, you’re really over-thinking this! Mahalo daily is a quick 5-minute morsel of amusement, often with useful info. Agonizing over Leah’s degree of host-ness, or describing anything here as “sad” is just too much.
This little internet video tidbit really shouldn’t be that profoundly important to anybody except (maybe) the people making it.
July 8th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Andrea did a good job. buy she should have also demonstrated the new guitar more herself.
July 8th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
guitar hero again????????
July 11th, 2008 at 12:25 am
Sweet, I was under the impression that it was all Aerosmith. I was in dire need of a second wireless controller so I think that just sold me on the combo pack.
Little dogs and wired guitars don’t mix.
